Keeping it Old School

Okay, so I've been scrapping a bit...not too much because I have other stuff I want to do too!  But doing a bit of scrapping lately.  One of the challenges on Willow Traders was to use something old from your stash.  I did a serious purge a few months ago and my stock is relatively limited (not really, but it sounds good!) so I went to my patterned paper stash!  I used some seriously old school paper from Jenni Bowlin's line for Lil Davis.  Like I said, back to the old school!  It came out okay, I do like the layout.  Again, it's my new fave subject, my niece and my mom!

Another weekend, another Willow Traders Blog Hop!!  Basically, anyone with a blog puts up one of their latest creative, crafty projects and we all go check out the blog candy!  I've done a few layouts of my new fave subject, my niece!  Yeah! 

 

Here's another one...using the new Basic Grey Junebug papers....I'm not entirely happy with this one but I love the pic!  Soo super cute!

Hello there! Welcome Back!!

I cannot believe how long it's been since I've blogged!  Yikes!   I've been super busy with work, family, travel, pretty much everything!  I've been to Southern California, Arizona, Philadelphia, Houston, and Nevada since the last time I blogged. 
Willow Traders, my fave place online, is doing a blog hop this weekend, encouraging all of us to be crafty and share our fabulous creations!  Thanks to Chrissy for the great idea!  I am posting a couple of recent projects.  Very exciting!  I have a feeling my niece Gracie will be the subject of many a new layout!  LOL!

It's hard to believe.....

A month and change since my last post!!  How crazy is that!  I've been crazy busy as usual.  Work is super busy and crazy.  Ross and I have been all over the place.  My  mom was here because my sister had her BABY!!  Very exciting!  We are all happy to welcome a new little girl into our family!!  She is super adorable and we all love her incredibly. 

Hopefully, I will have more to post later this month!

Seriously, Murphy's Law Exists!!!

So, today, got up early, ran some Christmas errands, read some Twilight, no big deal.  The hubby and I decide to go out to breakfast (my fave dining out meal!).  We went to the local diner type place and of course, since it was Sunday morning, I looked like complete crap!  And I mean it when I say complete crap.  Lo and behold, just as we walked in the door, there stood my biggest high school crush and his wife and daughter.  Of course, he recognizes me and gives me the "i know who you are" smile and I just smile back.  Of course!!!  I can never run into him when I look like this:

SERIOUSLY!That's me on the far right, in the fabulous Oakland NBA All-Star game hat!  Now, on the happy side, time has not been good to him either.  But, come on!!  As Joy told me on Friday, I need to look fabulous all the time so no one catches me looking like crap!  LOL!!!

Enough of my ranting!  If you haven't done it already, go and see Twilight.  You will be happy you did!!

Living the Art Life!!!

Sorry I am late in posting!  It's been super hectic this weekend!  My dear friend, Daniela Costa, asked me to do something with her latest  The ARt Life kit and I was happy to oblige!!  Daniela seriously ROCKS the vintage vibe, which I totally admire.  I also love how she combines some fun and funky new stuff and how it all just WORKS together!  So awesome!  If you haven't checked out her ETSY store, The Art Life Etsy, you should do so immediately!  Sooo many fun things to play with today!

Here are some pics of what I did with the kit.  There were enough materials to do FOUR projects.  Yes, count em', FOUR projects.  I did a wall-hanging, a super cute house mini album, a shadow box thingy, and a mini album made out of vintage postcards.  How cool is that?  How cool am I by association! LOL!!!  Here is my shadow box:

Yes, I was kind of channeling my inner scary person, using my Joker toy on this one.  Very macabre!

  I love this pic of my old Halloween statue, Morty.  He was so awesome and I've never found another one.  He is missed!

Pocketful of Sunshine

Well, well, well, it's October now, so I figured I'd post!  LOL!!  I've been super busy as always.  Work is crazy, we are trying to do stuff around the house, my mom had surgery,it's been super crazy!!!  We are somewhat back to an keel, even though I am going out of town next week for work!  I finished a little project for My Daughter's Wish and I am loving it!!  It's kind of a Reduce Reuse Recycle thing.  I turned this:

Wow!  Such a fun project!  Here are a few other pics...it's a fold-out flip album with plenty of room for journaling and pics!
